Saturday 3rd May 2008 Ryan Thomson, who was 7,
and his 25 year old sister Michelle were found at Muiredge
Cottages in Kirkcaldy.
Their father, Robert
Thomson, from Buckhaven, faces charges of repeatedly
stabbing and murdering his son and daughter.
Tuesday 6th May 2008,
49 year old Robert Thomson appeared in court in Kirkcaldy
charged with killing two of his children.
During his appearance at
Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court, Mr Thomson made no plea and was
remanded in custody.
He was taken to the
hospital for medical treatment following the discovery of
the bodies at Muiredge Cottages.
He was later discharged
from Dunfermline's Queen Margaret Hospital, released into
police custody.
Friday 3rd October 2008,
Thomson given life sentence for stabbing his children 25
times.
