18th June 2008, Jennifer Shelton
hit her 84 year old mother, Bertha Martin, obver the head with an
ornament.
Ms. Martin who had Leukaemia, died a week later in
hospital.
Monday 2nd february 2009 Shelton was cleared of murder on Monday
on the direction of the judge
at Newcastle Crown Court, but found guilty of manslaughter.
Shelton
was jailed for four years, and the judge made a recommendation that she
never bw allowed to care for vunerable people again.
