November 2008, Trial starts at Winchester Crown Court. Maninder Pal Singh Kohli, denies rape, kidnap, false imprisonment and murder.

During the trial Mr Kohli told the court he was abducted and forced to have sex with a girl he now knew was Hannah. He said he was the victim of a conspiracy to frame him.
The jury heard this was a "revenge" plot after Mr Kohli had blackmailed a work colleague, James Dennis, for about 16,000.

Mr Kohli took the money in return for keeping quiet about an affair he was having with Mr Dennis's wife, the court was told.
But the prosecution claim Mr Kohli had used the details of how he abducted Hannah to create an alternative version of events, in which he was the victim.

Hannah's blood was found in a van used by Mr Kohli.

Monday 25th November 2008, Kohli is convicted.
