February 2011, 21 year old Gagandip Singh was put in the boot of his own car before the vehicle was set ablaze in Blackheath, London.

It was a revenge attack after he allegedly attacked and attempted to rape Mundill Mahil.

 

Mahil told Shoker about the attack, he recruited Darren Peters to help in the plot to carry our a revenge attack.

 

Mahil persuaded Singh to come to her university house in Brighton, pretending she wanted to talk to him. Shoker and Peters were lying in wait in the bedroom, they viciously beat him. once he was unconscious they wrapped him in a duvet and put him in the boot of the Mercedes car he was driving, they then drove from Brighton to Blackheath in London where they set the car on fire, with Singh still in the boot, and still alive. An autopsy later showed he had died from smoke inhalation.

 

December 2011, trial starts at the Old Bailey in London.

All 3 deny murder.

 

Wednesday 29th February 2012, Harinder Shoker was given a life sentence for murder, with a recommendation to serve a minimum 22 years.

Darren Peters was jailed for 12 years for manslaughter.

Mundill Mahil, was jailed for 6 years for causing grievous bodily harm.
