This is one of the most difficult
cases have ever tried to write up.
The press and TV seem to be
confused too.
The Watt family seems to be dad -
Antonio, Sons Peter, Colin, Robert, James, and some
more.
I believe there are 2 or 3
brothers but the reporting gives them different names
every time they report. If you know, please let me know.
Michael Gilbert was in a
children's home with James Watt. He then went to
live with the Watt family in Luton.
He was treated as a slave,
and frequently beaten.
Wednesday 21st January 2009, Michael Gilberts
body found at the Watt family home in Luton.
James and Robert Watt, with
Natasha Oldfield, and Nichola Roberts proceeded to cut
off his head, and dismember the rest of his body, his
torso was dumped in the lake.
Sunday 10th May 2009,
Michael Gilbert's torso was found in a wheelbarrow
weighed down by paving slabs, discovered in The "Blue
Lagoon" Lake in Arlesey Bedfordshire, just 14 miles from
Luton.
Tuesday 23rd February
2010, Luton Crown Court was told that five members
of the Watt family from Luton and two girlfriends killed
and then cut up the body of Michael Gilbert, and dumped
him in the Blue Lagoon Lake in Arlesey in January 2009.
The charges were as
follows:-
Nichola Roberts, of Burford
Close, Luton, is charged with murder, familial homicide
and perverting the course of justice. She pleads not
guilty
Natasha Oldfield, of Chertsey Close, Luton, is charged
with murder, familial homicide and perverting the course
of justice. Pleads not guilty.
James Watt, of Chertsey Close, Luton, is charged with
murder and perverting the course of justice.
James Watt admits a charge of familial homicide -
causing or allowing the death. He also admits conspiring
to pervert the course of justice.
Robert Watt, of Chertsey Close, Luton, is charged with
murder and familial homicide. Robert Watt
pleads not guilty to familial homicide.
Antonio Watt, of Chertsey Close, Luton, is charged with
familial homicide and perverting the course of justice.
Plead not guilty to familial homicide and perverting the
course of justice.
Jennifer Smith-Dennis, of Chertsey Close, Luton, is
charged with familial homicide and two counts of
perverting the course of justice.
Plead not guilty to
familial homicide and perverting the course of justice
Wednesday 31st
March 2010, The judge has ordered the jury to fins
Robert Watt Not guilty of murder of manslaughter as
there is insufficient evidence.
However, he still stand
accused of familial homicide.
