The Oxford English dictionary describes murder as:

1. The action or an act of killing. a. The deliberate and unlawful

homicide with malice aforethought (occas. more fully wilful murder); an

English Law
The law of murder is set out in common law. The legal definition
of murder is 'the unlawful killing of a human being in the Queen's peace, with
malice aforethought'.
